My Spiritual Life Journey And Ways On How To Improve It

By Lena Stephenson

Lets face it. There are moments in our lives when we feel like we are not doing anything good to make our situations better. Its like continually struggling against the strong current of the river to make sure we do not drown. The current represents all of our lifes struggles. And unless we take a momentary stop and examine what causes the commotion, we may find ourselves drowning sooner than later.

Even if we prepare and plan, the end result is not ours to decide. If God does not want us to be there, then we will never be there. Its all a matter of doing the things
that we think is good and then trusting the Creator to handle the rest. My spiritual life journey is marked with ups and downs. But if you have solid trust to the Author of our lives, everything will turn out as it should be.

You have to be aware though that the journey will not be that easy. It can be challenging and can take time before you master it. But if you are serious about it, then devoting your time will be worth it. Below are effective methods that you can use to help you develop your spiritual strength even more.

Writing daily on a journal. This is not just the typical diary you keep where you rant about all the complains and wrongs you experience within the day. Its a journal of positivity where you acknowledge the presence of the negatives but focus more on the good.

Minutes of silence. As mentioned, this can be difficult. But nothing comes great without any difficulty. Find a room or any place in your home where you can spend some time in silence away from any hassle. You do not have to think about anything. The first minute may seem like hours but the more you do this, the higher the likability of you, hearing the words of God. This is also a good time to pray.

Practicing a spirit of gratitude. If you are used to complaining about everything, then there is no wonder why you are attracting more of them. Thats the mechanics. The more you think about it, the more they come to your attention. Rather than complain, spend some time to thank everything that you receive. You will feel better.

Thinking about the positive side of things. Bad things do happen. There is no denying that. They can come any time, anywhere. It is beyond your control. What you can control however is how you react on it. Instead of succumbing to the negative vibes, take a step back and hear what God is trying to tell you about it. How can this be better.

Reading the Bible. Last but the most important thing is to read the Bible. No matter how busy you are, find time to read excerpts from the Bible. Its the best way to strengthen your Faith. Plus, its great for empowering and refreshing your thoughts.

There is a limit to how much we are capable of doing. We are just humans and our capacities do not allow us to manage everything. Surrender all the things to God including your happiness and sadness and trust in his divine goodness. In the end, everything will go as He planned.
