It's time to take a stand for others.
It has been said that the measure of a great man or woman is not in their ability to take from the world, but in how much they give. It matters how much they are willing to stand for an idea greater than themselves and give back to a world in which so much has been taken.
That's what matters. That's what really matters.
Our society has us deeply focused on acquiring versus giving.
This way of living has brought us to the point where we have stripped the planet of a great deal of its natural resources and worst yet, the people who were in the way of those doing this were all trampled in the process. And for what? What have we done this for? Progress?
Time to step out of that old story and into a new one.
When you take a step back from the allure of "progress" and start to see what other people are truly in need of, your perspective on this world really does change. Then, when you start to ask yourself the question, "What can I offer the world that it needs desperately" you are headed in the right direction. You might not understand immediately what it is that you have to do in order to fulfill this task, but undertaking the journey is a magnificent step.
So give as much as you can to the world.
What's fascinating about life is when you start giving, it at last gives back to you in the form of exactly what you need. Give up the way of living continually in the land of progress for one that is rooted in helping out other human beings in need.
