Are you serious?
Seriously. There's been a story that has been running your entire life and you may not even know it. Or, you may know it but have absolutely no idea how to get out of it.
However, it's not your fault.
This narrative that everyone has been fed is incredibly powerful.
If you take what I'm about to say seriously, it will change your entire life.
Not joking. How do I know? It changed mine.
Here's the lie - there's this place where "it's all going to turn out."
Let me explain.
Imagine that you're always trying to get to this island where everything turns out perfect and it's all nice and happy. Everything is just great and all of your dreams came true. This is called the "island where it all turns out."
This island doesn't actually exist.
It's a amazing mirage.
It's the sexiest mirage you've ever seen and it will keep you rowing and rowing and rowing until your arms fall off because you think that's where your happiness lives.
All of this running to a place that doesn't actually exist will absolutely ruin your life.
When you are living from this frame of mind, you end up seeing life as very linear, black and white, timeline-esque, future driven, progress driven...and when things don't go "according to plan" or don't show up as "how they should be" everything gets incredibly messy.
And when life decides to do what it wants with you instead of going to your "plan" you think that something is actually wrong. You start wondering why nothing is happening the way you thought it should.
This will exhaust you drip by drip.
Everyone has been fed this great lie of "the island where it all turns out" in one way or another and it stops them from truly living as happily as they could be. Most never get the opportunity to shift their perspective on how they can live their life and they end up chasing this island until the end of time.
Ever heard of mid-life crisis? Bingo.
So what needs to change?
Be an amoeba.
Be like those little creatures you can see under a microscope that are constantly shifting and changing and taking on new properties of their environment.
When you can start living life with some fluidity, you give yourself the opportunity to adapt and adjust to anything that's happening.
Here's where it gets even better.
This type of living brings out incredible things in you. Because when you are focusing on what's actually developing in your life, you jump off the timeline, you start living more in the present and focus on "what's actually here or what's going on?" and you exit the future.
When you live this way, you stop chasing what doesn't exist and you start experiencing life for what it is right now.
You show up right here and now and that's when the magic starts to happen.
From this place, anything and everything is possible for you.
So stop chasing what doesn't exist and live in the present moment. It will change your life.
End your running.
It will save you.
